MAC shouldn't ask to open in container when link is opened in a new tab or window from the same URL #2930

Open

Description

@Tragen

Before submitting a bug report

  • I updated to the latest version of Multi-Account Container and tested if I can reproduce the issue
  • I searched for existing reports to see if it hasn't already been reported

Step to reproduce

Open domain.tld without container
MAC asks to open it in container or not.
I say "open in current tab"
Open a new tab with CTRL+click on a link or middle click.

Actual behavior

MAC asks how to open this URL

Expected behavior

No questions asked. I have answered the question already on first open.
When I want to load it in a different container, I can do that manually.

    @achernyakevich-sc

    It looks like not a bug but expected behaviour after you accidentally added domain.tld to the Always Open This Site in list of some container. Find in confirmation window what container it propose to open link in and remove domain.tld from the list of assigned sites of the container as described in the Remove an assigned site documentation.

    As soon as site will be removed you will not see confirmation dialog any more.

    If this will help then could you:

    • remove label bug as it is not a bug.
    • close the issue to show other users that it really resolved and the instruction works.
