Description

The Elements section described manager labels, bindings, and output types from an older manager. English pages and the existing Russian translations now follow the controls on the form and the HTML the tag prints in MODX 3.x.

Checked against modxcms/revolution 3.x at 313aabf8478ac2770c1090f42acdf34022291712.

New pages cover the @DOCUMENT binding and the Default, Text, Rich Text, and String output types. Spanish and Dutch have no Elements pages in git, so this pull request leaves those locales as they are.

Where the core disagrees with the form, the page states the symptom, a workaround, and the issue:

  • HTML Tag stores ID and attributes under keys the renderer does not read.
  • URL output stores attributes under a key the renderer does not read.
  • A Date offset such as +12 is passed to strtotime, which reads it as seconds past midnight.
  • Saving a URL strips http:// and ftp:// and leaves https:// and mailto: doubled.
  • Rich Text output with an empty height uses 400px. The form default is 300px.
  • Date output and the date output filter call strftime, deprecated in PHP 8.1 and scheduled for removal in PHP 9.

These were not run in a manager: strtotime('+72') and the E_DEPRECATED log line, whether every @SELECT SQL error is written to the log, string class names in $modx->newObject('modChunk'), and the version in which the static-file fields and the automate setting first appeared. @INLINE, getResources, and Image+ sit outside core. Screenshots were not compared with a live manager. An older link to resource fields on the templates page was left as it stood.
