Standardizes this repo's README header (title + badge block) and footer
(documentation / PyPI / license links + "Part of modern-python") to the
org-wide uniform-README standard. Body content is unchanged.

Also adds the missing MIT LICENSE file: the repo already declared
license = "MIT" in pyproject.toml but had no LICENSE file, so the
standardized License badge had a dead link. The license text matches the
org's other repos (Copyright (c) 2024 modern-python).

Corrects the copyright line on the LICENSE added in #76 to match the rest
of the modern-python repos.
