    Thanks for reporting this.

    Today the full-screen TUI enables mouse capture for scroll / click (slash panel, branch chip, question options), which often blocks the terminal’s normal drag-to-select copy on Linux.

    Workarounds right now:

    1. Hold your terminal’s modifier for “pass-through selection” if it has one (e.g. Shift+drag in many terminals, or the equivalent in Kitty/WezTerm/Alacritty).
    2. Use /export to write the session to markdown under .nca/, then copy from that file.
    3. Run nca --no-tui for the line REPL — normal terminal selection works there.

    Proper in-TUI copy (selection + clipboard yank) is a real gap; tracking it as a DX improvement for the TUI rewrite.

    Tracked in the post-TUI-rewrite roadmap spike: will link the parent issue after creation.

    Parent roadmap: #59 (P0 — copy/select in TUI).

    Implemented on tui-rewrite (Roadmap #59 slice 1)

    Commands-first copy is in:

    • /copy slash command + Ctrl+Shift+C (lowercase/uppercase key forms)
    • crates/tui/src/clipboard.rs via arboard on spawn_blocking
    • TuiSessionState::last_assistant_text() (newest committed assistant, streaming fallback)
    • Explicit success/failure/empty feedback; Shift+drag documented as fallback
    • Ctrl+C cancel behavior unchanged

    Docs: docs/documentation/interactive-mode.md, README shortcuts

    Verification: unit tests for last-assistant selection + registry; cargo test --workspace, clippy -D warnings, release build green.

    Manual smoke still recommended on macOS/Linux clipboard before closing:

    1. Run a turn, /copy → “Copied last assistant response”
    2. Empty transcript → actionable empty-state message
    3. Confirm Ctrl+C still cancels

    @ccfontes

    nice, i've been using /copy but would it be like, possible to copy text from mouse selection?
    is there reason for this TUI to behave like unselecteable image? hehe

    @ccfontes

    got it:

    Today the full-screen TUI enables mouse capture for scroll / click (slash panel, branch chip, question options), which often blocks the terminal’s normal drag-to-select copy on Linux.
