v0.7.43d Windows Executable still looks for legacy cli_battery\main.py in windows_wrapper.py #422

Closed

Description

@n-marion

On startup, cli_debrid.exe throws a FileNotFoundError looking for cli_battery\main.py inside windows_wrapper.py on line 416, likely a leftover hook from before the battery features were integrated into the main repo.

Additionally, the new background prewarm cache routine causes high concurrent connection bursts to TMDB/Trakt, triggering ConnectionResetError (10054) exceptions on strict Windows environments.

    Can confirm this happens with the 0.7.48 version too,

    The cli_battery\main.py error is fixed in #542 (draft, v0.7.70).

    The battery has run inside the main app for a while now, but the Windows launcher was still trying to start it as a separate process on port 40001 from a file that no longer exists. #542 removes that, so the exe starts main.py only and you shouldn't see the FileNotFoundError, "Battery service failed to start" or the battery tunnel error anymore. It also removes the old Metadata Battery URL setting from Required Settings, since nothing used it. --battery-port is still accepted (and ignored) so existing shortcuts keep working.

    The second part, the startup cache prewarm causing ConnectionResetError (10054) with TMDB/Trakt, isn't changed by #542, so I'm leaving this issue open for that. Those errors are caught and only logged as warnings; the Discover caches just fill on first use instead. If you're still seeing them, a log snippet showing the [Prewarm] ... failed lines would help.
