This is an n8n community node. It lets you use AnyAPI in your n8n workflows.
AnyAPI is a unified marketplace for scraping and data APIs: reach hundreds of third-party APIs through one key, pay per request in real USD, no subscription. AnyAPI normalizes the response schema across providers and fails over automatically on error.
n8n is a fair-code licensed workflow automation platform.

Follow the community nodes installation guide.
In n8n, go to Settings > Community Nodes, select Install, and enter:
n8n-nodes-anyapi
The node exposes one AnyAPI node with seven operations:
- Run API - execute any API by SKU. Inputs render as typed fields loaded from the API schema (or raw JSON if you prefer). Returns
output, provider, costUsd, anditems. - Get API Schema - fetch the input and output JSON Schema for one API.
- List APIs - browse the AnyAPI catalog, optionally filtered by category.
- Search APIs - run a ranked catalog query, optionally scoped by category or platform.
- Get Balance - return the remaining wallet balance in USD.
- Get Request - retrieve the current stored state of a durable Request without repeating its paid API call.
- Wait for Request - poll a durable Request until it reaches a terminal state, then return its retained result.
The API dropdown loads live from the AnyAPI catalog, so every available SKU is selectable and newly added APIs appear automatically. Discovery operations return the gateway's customer-safe nested USD pricing and optional failover metadata without exposing internal accounting fields or upstream identities.
The node is intentionally a lightweight adapter. It uses n8n's native HTTP and credential helpers, projects the discovery fields its UI needs, and delegates input validation, provider selection, routing, failover, pricing, and billing to the AnyAPI gateway. Safe new discovery fields therefore do not require a node release.
These trim the response payload without changing what you are charged:
- Fields - comma-separated keys to keep on each result item (dotted paths like
author.nameallowed). - Max Items - cap the number of result items returned. Leave it at
0to omit the limit and return the complete response. - Summary Only - return only a structural outline instead of the full data.
You need an AnyAPI key.
- Create an account at getanyapi.com/dashboard.
- Copy your API key.
- In n8n, create new AnyAPI API credentials and paste the key.
The credential is validated against the wallet balance endpoint when you save it. New accounts start with a small trial balance, so you can test before topping up.
-
Add the AnyAPI node to your workflow.
-
Select Run API.
-
Pick an API from the dropdown, for example Google Search or Reddit Search. Each option shows its live price quoted per 1,000 requests (
/1k req), the denomination AnyAPI compares catalog prices in, plus any per-result rate. Billing itself stays per request: a completed run reports the exactcostUsdof that one call. -
Provide the input. There are two Input Mode choices:
-
Fields (from schema) - the default. The node loads the selected API's input schema and renders native scalar and enum controls. Object, array, union, and null-capable inputs use structured JSON controls and preserve their JSON values. Invalid structured JSON fails before the paid request and directs you to Raw JSON mode.
-
Raw JSON - provide the raw payload, useful for expressions, for example:
{ "query": "apify alternative" }
-
-
Execute. The node returns clean JSON plus the exact
costUsdof the call.
Local lead machine - type a niche and a city, scrape Google Maps with contact details, and write a personalized opener per business:
-
Form Trigger - fields:
Business type,Location. -
AnyAPI (Run API) - select Google Maps Contacts (
maps.contacts), input:{ "query": "{{ $json['Business type'] }}", "location": "{{ $json['Location'] }}", "limit": 10 } -
Split Out on
output.data.itemsto get one item per business. -
AI Agent - drafts a personalized outreach line from each business.
-
Google Sheets (Append) - log the enriched leads.
Company 360 brief - fan out across several AnyAPI endpoints on one key (Google News, Trustpilot, Similarweb, Reddit, LinkedIn), merge them, and have an AI agent write a one-page company brief. Because every source shares the same credential and response envelope (output + costUsd), adding a sixth source is just another AnyAPI node.
