Potential Features #4

Description

@nitz

When I was looking for an example of a Material toggle to mimic, I came across this post that has lots of little ideas that I may get around to implementing.

Listing them here so I don't forget.

  • Toggle centered I/O labels. (For full words like 'ON'/'OFF') (Also, optional offsets?)
  • Label optionally on left / right aligned toggle.
  • Optional sub-label (e.g.: "Microcopy description")
  • On-knob labels. (Like A11y labels, but for instance for a check/x on top of the knob.)
  • Image-based frame? (e.g.: Day/Night mode)
  • Image-based knob / knob glyph? (Eg: Sun/Moon)
  • Drop shadows? Knob/Frame?
  • Toggle + Label frame (To strongly associate the toggle with the label.)
  • Animation easing?
  • Knob inset for on/off, as well as animating between.

I also want to have a small pack of "ready to go" styles for users to easily hit something they're looking for without too much effort, like the ones displayed on that page.

  • iOS style
  • Material style
  • Salesforce
  • Office UI / Fabric
  • Kendo UI
  • The hollowed out ones from their "Test":
