A mod will answer to your report in any case, could it be accepted or rejected.

You can also submit a pull request. However, in that case you have to thoroughly document your modifications in the pull request message, commit message and/or in the code. A moderator will answer you, you will also see in your github notifications whether your pull request has been merged or rejected.
