Add ads DB, /ads slideshow, adsPageStaySeconds (return to home posters), and Settings → Ads. Include Now Showing DB/views, poster sync retry/abort, TMDB backdrop fallback, new-features banner, Docker/config path updates, launch scripts, and README fork documentation. Local config databases and uploads remain untracked.

Embed dedicated ads or now-showing on home URL with postMessage return; add
homePageCycleDedicatedView setting and merge-safe UpdateSettings. Keyboard 1/2/3
to switch posters, now-showing, and ads from any state. Remove /ads timing hint
overlay; blur global /ads backdrop via layer. Settings: ads page stay save fix,
now-showing open link, UI copy for page cycle.

…avior.

Add configurable 1/2/3 hotkey enablement in Settings, restore a dedicated /posters page, and keep hub poster mode isolated from ads/now-showing cards.

Made-with: Cursor
Add timeout and retry handling for poster card fetches so transient network stalls do not leave the home screen black, and update fork support messaging in README and settings.

Made-with: Cursor
Define getCardsPath at script scope so initial card loading works in /posters?hubEmbed=1, preventing black-screen startup and restoring hotkeys on first load.

…ath state.

Auto-create public/custom/custom.css on startup so mounted Docker custom folders do not return HTML for CSS requests, and add a safe getCardsPath resolver in posters view to prevent hub-embed startup crashes.

Made-with: Cursor
On /, start in now-showing when Only Now Showing slides is enabled, otherwise start in ads when Ads only mode is enabled, and keep posters-first behavior for all other cases.

Made-with: Cursor
This wires a new Holidays settings route into the navigation and updates fullscreen now-showing/ads pages so kiosk playback can auto-scroll while still allowing settings-link suppression when requested.

Made-with: Cursor
This moves holiday rule persistence into a dedicated holidays.db with dynamic date support and metadata-tag matching, and improves now-showing/sync responsiveness on low-resource devices with better abort feedback and lightweight rendering safeguards.

Made-with: Cursor
This captures the latest synced poster metadata state after recent holiday/tag ingestion changes.

Made-with: Cursor
Treat a lock file with the current PID as stale so Docker restarts with pid 1 do not trigger false duplicate-instance exits.

Made-with: Cursor
Document ubuntudisplayos as the companion Ubuntu kiosk host project that pairs with Posterr deployments.

Made-with: Cursor
Switch auto low-power mode to a maintainable device hint list (seeded for Raspberry Pi 1-3 class hosts), keep manual lowPower URL support documented, and preserve ticker animation unless reduced motion is explicitly requested by the browser.

Made-with: Cursor
Replace year-bound date pickers with MM-DD fields so fixed holiday ranges save reliably without requiring a year.

Made-with: Cursor
Keep fixed holiday ranges month/day based while using date inputs in the UI, with clear labels that the selected year is ignored.

Made-with: Cursor
Extend holiday rules to support title and plot keyword matching in addition to tag text, persist the new fields, and apply OR/AND matching across Home and Now Showing boosts.

Made-with: Cursor
Parse YYYY-MM-DD holiday picker values without timezone shifts and raise holiday boost copies so matching titles appear more often during active date windows.
