…onal onboarding user-journeys.spec.ts and edge-cases.spec.ts (plus helpers.ts) predated the 3-beat onboarding rewrite and, on closer look, never matched this app's actual architecture at all: there is no client-side router for top-level pages (src/App.tsx switches a single Zustand-held activeView), so the old helpers navigated to /create-agent, /dashboard, /agents/:id, /agents/:id/settings, /settings and /login, none of which exist. The 'Create Agent' journey drove a standalone form with name/emoji/role/color inputs and a 'Create' button asserting a 'Dashboard' title; the real flow is OnboardingWizard.tsx beat 1: a name field, a role-card picker (or Custom + free text), and a 'Draft ...' CTA that reveals an 'Eddie's Draft' panel with an editable agent name and an interview chat. There is no login/session system, so Error Recovery/Settings/Budget/Agent Communication journeys built on the same fictional routes had no real counterpart. helpers.ts: replaced goCreateAgent/goDashboard/goAgentSettings/fillAgentForm/fillLoginForm/login/logout with helpers for the real beat-1 onboarding flow. Dropped getPageLoadTime, which called page.metrics(), not a method Playwright's Page exposes. navigateTo now uses Playwright's configured baseURL instead of a hardcoded http://localhost:3000. user-journeys.spec.ts: replaced 'Create Agent' with 'Onboarding - meet your draft' (draft a custom agent, CTA gating, editable draft name, draft persists across reload via canopy_onboarding_draft). Removed Manage Agents / Agent Communication / Budget Management / Settings / Error Recovery / Accessibility journeys outright rather than patch them onto real infra (3D world view, chat, budget/settings UI) that's out of scope for a stale-test refresh. edge-cases.spec.ts: retargeted boundary-value/rapid-interaction/whitespace-validation checks at the real name field and Custom-role discovery textarea, and responsive-design checks at OnboardingWizard's real breakpoints. Dropped Navigation History, Tab Switching, Concurrent Operations (need the Tauri runtime, unreachable under plain Playwright), the emoji-skin-tone case (no emoji field), and State Consistency. Verified: all 15 tests pass locally via npx playwright test after fixing the sibling playwright.config.ts (outside this repo, not committed here) to point at Vite's actual port 5173 instead of 3000 and to set webServer.cwd.

…ain pin, remove dev scraps - keychain.rs: authenticate_mac_user no longer falls back to a literal /Users/scottieryan/... path (broken on every machine but the original dev box, and arch-mismatched even then). Resolves the dev-mode fallback via CARGO_MANIFEST_DIR instead, and prefers the Tauri-bundled resource dir. - tauri.conf.json: bundle mac_auth and mac_auth.swift as bundle.resources so release builds actually ship the auth helper Tauri's resource_dir() looks for. - scripts/: moved test_meshy_gen.js to scripts/dev/ and marked it as a one-off local script (not wired into npm/CI); its source paths are tied to a single past dev session and were never portable. - Removed committed dev scraps with no mod/build references: scratch.rs, plugins.txt, test_errors.txt, test_errors2.txt. - Added rust-toolchain.toml pinning the stable channel this repo is currently built and tested against, plus both macOS targets. Not addressed here: refs/pull/1/head is still publicly fetchable and contains an old commit with a real Google OAuth client secret (same value already intentionally embedded as a public desktop-app constant in google.rs). PUBLIC_RELEASE_CHECKLIST.md already flags this — purging that ref requires GitHub Support, not a local git operation. Co-Authored-By: Claude Sonnet 5 <noreply@anthropic.com>

Why
Prep work ahead of the new Claude-driven meta-testing loop (see
IMPLEMENTATION_PLAN_META_TESTING_LOOP_2026-08-06.md) — wanted real app bugs to be the only source of failures, not stale test coverage.e2e/user-journeys.spec.tsande2e/edge-cases.spec.tspredated the conversational onboarding rewrite and tested pages/flows that don't exist:/create-agent,/dashboard,/agents/:id/settings, a login system. Canopy has no client-side router for top-level pages (App.tsxswitches a single ZustandactiveView), so all of these were dead navigations. What changed
e2e/helpers.ts— real beat-1 onboarding helpers (resetOnboardingState, fillEddieName, selectCustomRole, fillDiscoveryInput, expectDraftPanelVisible, ...), replacing helpers for a form/page flow that never existed.navigateTonow goes through Playwright'sbaseURLinstead of a hardcodedlocalhost:3000. DroppedgetPageLoadTime(called a non-existentpage.metrics()).e2e/user-journeys.spec.ts— "Create Agent" journey replaced with "Onboarding — meet your draft" (typed-need → draft reveal, CTA gating, editable draft name, autosave/reload persistence viacanopy_onboarding_draft). Removed journeys with no real counterpart (manage agents, budget, settings, login/error-recovery, accessibility) rather than fake them.e2e/edge-cases.spec.ts— boundary/rapid-interaction/whitespace checks retargeted at the real name field + discovery textarea; responsive checks atOnboardingWizard's actual breakpoints. Dropped cases needing the Tauri runtime (agent creation, tab switching) or nonexistent fields (emoji skin tone).playwright.config.tsfix (baseURL/webServer → Vite's real port 5173,webServer.cwd→./canopy) is not included in this PR — it lives in theAgent Managementfolder, which isn't a git repo, so it isn't tracked. Flagging here so it isn't lost: someone should commit it somewhere durable.Verification
npm test(vitest): 41 files / 334 tests pass.npx tsc --noEmit(canopy-mobile): clean.npx playwright test(chromium only — firefox/webkit binaries not available in the sandbox this ran in): 15/15 pass.npm run build: passes.cargo check/cargo test— no Rust toolchain in the sandbox this was authored in. Please run the Rust phase ofscripts/refactor_regression_check.shlocally before merging; this PR only touches TypeScript test files so it's low-risk, but it hasn't been verified.🤖 Generated by Claude, from Scottie's Cowork session.
