By the way I just changed the way zlib is searched for / build. Maybe it is already working on Mac? I don't have one to test. |

It's hard to keep track on what is updated and what not. I'm replacing the copy of fmi4c with a submodule in another PR. |

I dont have write access here, so I hope some maintainer can merge it into a branch and update the submodule reference into the main repo
