Compiling a .NET 8 based DLL file

Hi,

I just want to compile an Ironpython command as a DLL file targeting runtime targeting .Net 8, but when using ipy command it only targets .Net 4.8.
So I appreciate it if you could let me know how I can create a .Net 8-based DLL file or run ipy under the .Net 8.

By default the .NET Framework 4.8 version ships for the Windows install.
You can compile from source to target another version of .NET

@slozier what's the reason for not targeting .NET 8 in the production Windows version?
