There's no problem using GTX 1050 Ti in LMDE7 using the repositories. |

Given the rock-solid foundation, one might expect a bit more attention to detail regarding both modern and older hardware. Take the GTX 1050 Ti (admittedly dated): the drivers should be updatable directly from the repositories—without the usual Plymouth issues. And why not hide the startup error messages? They just look out of place. The distribution really gives the impression of not keeping up with the times. It would be great to have more up-to-date and well-maintained repositories, even for older hardware that remains perfectly usable for the long haul. It should also inspire a greater sense of security through more active updates. It is truly an excellent distribution, though in my view, they should ensure greater responsiveness for LMDE as well—a version many prefer for its remarkable stability, which is precisely what adds value to the outstanding work done with Cinnamon. We look forward to seeing new updates that make every aspect and component even more refined and elegant.
