An extension/tool just like GNOME's Screenshot/Screen Capture

Recently, I've had to use OBS to record a small rectangular area of my display for a simple demonstration of an app. The process wasn't exactly ideal, in fact; it was unnecessarily laborious(manually adding filters, cropping entering specific pixel widths/heights).
A wonderful feature of the GNOME 42+ desktop is the 'built in' screen capture/recording feature. I've used several apps(like obs, SSR, etc...) I feel something akin to what GNOME has would be fantastic.
Pressing a keyboard key/shortcut/applet button to make it all happen would be chefs kiss.

Not sure if this has been proposed before. Forgive the duplication of ideas. <3
