TransformIt seems to be non-functional / missing on Kicad 10

The addon is not visible or doesn't show up in the UI on version 10

I'm not sure if this is system-specific but the addon refuses to show up on two different testing versions.

Do any other plugins show up? There is a bug in some v10 testing builds that doesnt load plugins properly. I believe workaround is to go in preferences and manually reload plugins in corresponding section.

Sorry for the late response, but no this did not work.

When I check the reload plugins screen, theres a python error log:

That error shows that the app can not load xrc lib from wxwidgets.

Looking at your paths I see that you are on bazzite and probably are using an appimage for kicad. The issue can be either of those things so try flatpak kicad or a native package.

Do native packages exist for kicad? Ive only seen the appimage. ANd the flatpak is currently on one of the early 10.0 installs thats even more broken

They exist for major linux distros. Bazzite is fedora derivative, right? Should be able to use rpm packages.

bazzite is an immutable system, and generally installing RPMs is advised against for that reason

Well I can't do anything about your system not having system libs or kicad appimage not supplying them. KiCad appimages are new and not as mature as other release channels.

1. You can report the issue about wx xrc missing in appimage here https://gitlab.com/kicad/packaging/kicad-appimage/-/work_items and wait until it's fixed.
2. Wait until flatpak is updated and use that.
3. Find another way to install kicad on your system whether it's compiling yourself or whatever the proper way to install apps is on immutable distro.
