I don't get texlab to respect my configuration

Hello,
I try to setup up texlab and don't get it to respect my configuration. It runs great with default configuration.
My kak-lsp file looks like follows:

it generates and honours the generation of the log file, and if we observe it seems like the config is getting there

The same when texlab queries the workspace configuration:

But when I run the configuration and run for example :texlab-forward-Search I get the error Forward Search Unconfigured (texlab).

Texlab does not build on save, and texlab also calls latexmk with the default options if i tell it manually to build.

I'm lost and I don't know what to do anymore

$ texlab --version
texlab 5.22.1

Maybe someone sees what I'm doing wrong.
