Are deferred events planned for the next release.

I miss the support for deferred events in 5.1.0. I need to transition to another state before I can handle an abort event.

I can work around it but it would make my code cleaner.

It is obvious the project is not maintained anymore, I respect that, we all have limited amount time. Thank you and your colleagues for your work and expertise. I still use the state machine in an old project where it did a good job for almost 10 years now.
For new projects, do you have any recommendations of an alternative library?

thanks for responding and recommendation. It is cloned now. Really understandable code, so I could do some modifications if needed. Time will tell which one I will prefer in a new project. For my existing project, I see no advantage in migrating away from appccelerate.
