Flaw with the price calculation order?

We calculate prices in the reverse of the investment order. The investment order is calculated excluding secondary flows, since these don't contribute to investment decisions (not that this is necessarily correct, see #1313). However, secondary flows probably should be able to contribute to prices, so it seems fishy to me that we're not taking these into account.

Can you remind me what the issue would be with just doing away with the "primary output" thing and treating all of a process's output flows in the same way? I'm sure there was a good reason, but I can't think of it off the top of my head...

Well the way it currently works is that assets are invested in to meet the demand profile for one particular commodity. We have no way of considering multiple commodities simultaneously. If an asset has multiple (SED/SVD) output commodities, then we have to pick one (i.e. the primary commodity) and base investments for that technology on the demand profile for that commodity
