Provide a Drupal CMS Theme

Thank you so much for these wonderful Admin themes for many frameworks!

I just saw that sadly the wonderful Drupal CMS is not yet supported. The https://www.drupal.org/project/admintheme seems to have used AdminLTE in the past but is outdated.

Maybe it would be an option to provide an up to date official Drupal Theme?
At https://www.drupal.org/project/adminlte maybe?

You're right that the old admintheme is long outdated, so we went ahead and built a fresh, official AdminLTE 4 admin theme for Drupal:

It's AdminLTE 4 — Bootstrap 5.3, vanilla JS (no jQuery), light & dark modes, and fully self-contained (no CDN). It's been tested on a clean Drupal 11.3 install (and supports 10.3+): the whole admin UI renders in the AdminLTE shell — the Administration menu as a collapsible sidebar treeview, a navbar user dropdown, styled dropbuttons / tabledrag / vertical tabs / pagers / modals, and a light/dark toggle — with no errors in the log.

Try it now (before it's on drupal.org)

drush theme:enable adminlte

use it as the administration theme:

drush -y config:set system.theme admin adminlte
drush cr
Or enable it from Appearance (/admin/appearance). It ships sensible default block placements, so it renders correctly the moment you enable it — no manual block setup needed.

Requirements: Drupal 10.3+ / 11, PHP 8.1+.

@silkalns PS: I just wanted to try but without an alpha release or add a dev. release added at drupal.org composer require drupal/adminlte does not work. Thanks!

1.0.0-beta1 is now published on drupal.org, so it's installable. Since it's a
beta, request it explicitly (Composer skips pre-releases by default):

composer require 'drupal/adminlte:^1.0@beta'

Betas aren't under Drupal's security-advisory policy yet - would you be open to co-maintaining to help it clear the one-time security review on the way to a stable 1.0.0? Your Drupal expertise would be hugely welcome. And please open issues for anything that needs improving.

Hi @silkalns - the theme works like a charm! GREAT!
Yes, I'd like to help as Co-maintainer together with my teammates @thomas.frobieter and @grevil (at Drupal.org). I'll create an issue over there.

I'd also create 2-3 ideas I had to make it easy to customize the theme for users, maybe you could have a look.

I think this theme could have a huge future as Drupal Intranet / backend theme!
If you'd like to promote PRO on the module page, I think you can do that. Maybe you have further experience, what might be done to improve adoption for users?

As I don't know ANY good intranet Drupal / Backend theme, this might grow a lot, if it's promoted well.

Furthermore there's a fresh initative in Drupal for a Theme marketplace:

If you'd be interested to sell PRO themes, that might be interesting for you. There are just a few yet and none goes into this direction. AdminLTE is fantastic!
